Janet is loving life as a mosaic artist working in Cockington Craft Centre, after taking voluntary redundancy from her Government job in 2017. Making mosaic all started over 20 years ago when a friend invited her to learn mosaic at an evening class. Once started she couldn’t stop! Taking inspiration from the beautiful Devon countryside and seascape, she makes mosaic pictures, mirrors and other decorative art and craft in her Cockington studio and teaches beginners over the winter months.
A recent highlight was teaching Dame Joan Bakewell how to do mosaic, as a wildcard on Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the year.

If all goes to plan, there will be the launch in April of the Dartmoor National Park Moor Otters Trail 2021. Mosaic otters ‘Bryn and Jim’ are all ready to go!
