South West Mosaic Artists

A busy career meant I had to set aside mosaics, which I had started making many years ago - but the lockdown of 2020 allowed me the time to reignite my passion and set aboutcreating unique and useful art for homes, gardens and the workplace. My mosaic pieces range from small scale tablemats and coasters, through to larger bathroom splashbacks, and include patio tables, mirror surrounds, house numbers of all shapes and sizes, Christmas ornaments and some pieces that are simply lovely to look at.

I created TinyDragonMosaics in 2022 when commissions started to accumulate and I had retired.

I use ceramic and glass tiles, all cut by hand to suit the design Iā€™m making. My influences range from sea creatures in the ancient baths in Herculaneum ā€“ a firm favourite - to Roman floor designs in Kos, Welsh Dragons, Daffodils in a Cheltenham theatre and flowers in the garden. I can make most things, most sizes, to most designs. I discuss commissions face to face or by Zoom, put together idea boards and plans, explain the different looks that different tiles create as well as the importance of the grout. And then crack on with the fun part ā€“ making lovely mosaics.

My next show will be the West Bristol Arts Trail in October 2023, when I will have an open house for the weekend in Clifton Wood in Bristol. Visitors will be able to take a look around my studio and browse my work, purchase some unique art or commission something new made especially for them.

I welcome commissions ā€“ please contact me by email.
