I always had a passion for arts and crafts and after finding myself at crossroads in 2016 I decided to take the opportunity to become a full time mosaic artist.
I grew up in Austria and was fascinated by the work of Friedensreich Hundertwasser. I have lived in the UK since 1997 and settled in Devon in 2012. Here I have my own shop which is where I do my work and host workshops.
Being a mum with young children it was always important to me to bring mosaics to all age groups. Sometimes I have 3 generations of one family in the shop. Cutting and grouting for my participants makes it suitable for anyone. The workshops form a large part of what I do. For me seeing the happy faces of the participants after creating their own designs is the best.
My artwork is inspired by a lot of upcycling of existing items. I love to use many different glass and ceramic tiles, buttons, crockery, shells and anything else I can find. I like to create pieces for the garden and for the house using different techniques.
